Rosebud and skyscrapers
June 28, 2009Sailing season has come to Lake Michigan and the Rhodes 19 fleet at Montrose Harbor. We’ve had a bit of a rocky start. Something is not working well with the boat. Our starts are pretty good, but the longer the race goes on, the worse our position becomes. Boat speed is a problem.
It might be because we are sailing with old sails, but I think there is also something wrong with the rig. We’re gonna work on it and try to get things ready for Nationals in October. Today should be good as it’s 15 to 20 knots of wind. Can’t wait! Here’s a shot of me sitting on the boom on our downwind leg.
